OBTAINING A MEDICAL CERTIFICATION:

Step 1:  Schedule an appointment with a physician, nurse practitioner, or optometrist participating in Mississippi’s medical marijuana certification program.

Step 2:  Attend the in-person consultation. If your Mississippi medical marijuana physician verifies that you have a qualifying condition and agrees that cannabis-based medicine is the right treatment for you, you will be issued a signed recommendation for the use of medical marijuana. You will then be able to complete your registration with the state online.

Step 3:  Check your email. You will be added to the patient registry and issued a Mississippi medical marijuana patient card once the state has processed your 50 dollar annual payment and received your doctor’s certification that you can legally use cannabis for medical purposes.

Step 4:  Visit a licensed dispensary. Once you have been approved and you have obtained your card, visit a licensed dispensary to find the medical cannabis products that best work for you.
